天津市台辦主任周克麗表示，旺旺集團捐贈500萬，她要特別表示感謝。旺旺集團在大陸正派經營、形象良好，這次大爆炸愛心不落人後，令天津市民感到非常溫暖；此外，有些台商企業自己還在困難中，仍願對受災居民伸出援手，令人非常感動。

此外，許多天津當地的台商本身也是受災戶，但他們仍發揮人飢己飢、人溺己溺的精神捐贈愛心，很多台商都捐出數十萬元不等的金額給災民。
天津市民好感動
天津市台灣同胞投資協會會長羅文德在座談會上表示，台商在這次大爆炸中可說是不幸中的萬幸，除了一名台籍幹部受輕傷外，其他都無傷亡，他並代轉海基會對台商的關切與問候。他說，海基會董事長林中森第一時間就電話聯繫，表達慰問與關心，此後每2、3個小時就與天津市台協聯絡，了解狀況。他也希望台商在往後災後重建及修復過程中，千萬要注意安全，不要再造成二次傷害。
